The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is an international tournament which is organized by International Cricket Council (ICC). There is a group of 16 teams in World Cup T20. The team ranking plays an important role in participation.
World Cup is scheduled to be happened in every 4 years. The last world cup was played in 2016 but due to covid, the event has to be scheduled for 2021. India was about to host the world cup this year but due to the Covid-19 pandemic in India, The venue has moved to United Arab States & Oman.
The tournament is scheduled to start on 17th October 2021 & the final match will be played on 14th November 2021.

Participating Teams & Qualification
The teams having the top 10 ICC ranking are already qualified for T20 World Cup. Out of the top 8 teams are qualified for the Super 12 stage, Sri Lanka & Afghanistan did not qualify because they are at no 9 & 10 respectively. Both of the teams were being placed in a group stage where 6 other teams will join them. The teams had qualified for the tournament via the 2019 ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier. The top 4 teams from the group stage will qualify for Super 12.
The first team to secure the position was Papua New Guinea by winning the Group A tournament. This was the first time when Papua New Guinea qualified for any World Cup format. The second team to qualify was Ireland by winning the Group B tournament.

T20 World Cup 2021 Complete Schedule
A total of 45 matches will be played in the world cup in two rounds. Round 1 has 12 matches with eight teams which are Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Namibia, Oman, and Papua New Guinea. The top 4 teams will be promoted to Super 12.
Super 12 stage will start from 24th October 2021 & will consist of 30 matches. There will be two groups of 6 teams each. There will be 2 semi-finals & 1 final match.
